How Could Bitcoin Benefit the United States?

Stories about Bitcoin are often negative.

We hear concerns about how it harms the environment, threatens national security, and hurts consumers — helping only criminals and speculators.

This conference aims to tell the stories about Bitcoin that so often go untold:

  • How Bitcoin is a human rights tool used in the struggle for democracy and global freedom

  • How the US can leverage Bitcoin as a strategic asset to achieve its geopolitical goals

  • How Bitcoin can serve as a unique stabilizer of energy grids and unlikely player in our country's renewable energy future

It's time to separate fact from fiction and situate Bitcoin in serious policy discussions involving national security, energy infrastructure, global competitiveness, and financial inclusion.

Once we do this, policymakers can work to answer the question: how can we maximize the benefits of Bitcoin for the United States while minimizing the risks?
